Last time: Owen and Davon got in an argument. Solan went fishing and caught some things. And Owen is tending a very nice garden in the back corner of his house.



Being a genius has many advantages. Owen likes to figure out difficult math problems for colleges. They pay him once he gets all the equations worked out.



On his way home from work, Cope stopped by to visit Thanatos. He was friendly enough.



He then gets home and has a bit of cuddle time with Caroline. The Copes are very family oriented and love each other very much.



Max broke the toilet and seems happy about it.



He asks his mom how her day was at work. He knows she's a workaholic and likes to talk about it even on her time off.



Max and Caroline hug while Cope reads a book in bed.



The family sleeps happily. Cope bought that little hanging solar system for Max recently.



The next day Cope and Caroline giggle and gossip about their co-workers. A friend of Max's listens and laughs too. He's getting the good karma as well.



But he ends up doing homework while Max plays chess with his dad.



Cope watches closely as Max decides what to do. "You sure you want to do that son?"



You know this is a family of geeks when they use the chess table as an eating table.



It's Cope's day off and soon he's in the park trying to catch butterflies for his bug collection. It doesn't go well.



He then runs into Des who's just gotten off her paper girl job. Cope is friendly and tries to tell a joke. "So you should have seen the size of these teeth!"



Des is not impressed. Don't feel bad Cope. Everyone has a rocky start with her. She's difficult to get along with at first. What's weird is that the icons are blue friendlies but there are red negatives so she may have been neutral on what he said.



He then asked if she was single which didn't go over well either. He was just hoping she was in a happy relationship. Des is arrogant and thought he was hitting on her and they weren't happy with each other when she found out he's family oriented and that she doesn't like children. How to pull this conversation out of its nose dive? But then the phone rang. Cope was informed that Max was still at school playing after cerfew. He had to go. He'll try to talk to Des again later.



Cope finds Max at the playground alright. He pauses a moment to think of an idea. They come to him in the most unusual places.



Time for a father son chat. "Oh!" Groans Max. "Now Max, you need to clean up your act...and your room. You know you're not supposed to be out alone after dark."



"Let's go home. You've got homework and it's almost past your bed time." Cope continues.
"I hate homework!" Max protests. Despite being a genius Max doesn't like school. He just wants to play and have fun. If he does any math it will be when he feels like it.



Cope follows to make sure Max goes straight home. Life is good.



Life is VERY good he thinks as he comes home to his cute little nerd wife.



Life is wonderful actully. Woo!

Next time: Life isn't so wonderful for Cope. Can't be high all the time.
